Alumni Association President Message

July 10, 2007

To All BRODS AND SIS:

Our most beloved Fraternity celebrates a milestone in 2009 -our 50th Anniversary, with the theme “VKV HITS GOLD: THE NEXT 50 YEARS!”

Preparations for the Golden Jubilee Celebrations are underway. It will be launched at the Annual VKVVLV CHRISTMAS PARTY on December 3, 2007 with the Presentation of the DRAFT VKVVLV “THE NEXT 5O YEARS” STRATEGIC PLAN and the Pioneer VKVVLV FOUNDATION INCORPORATED Stockholders. This will be followed by year-long preparatory activities capped by the GRAND VKVVLV ALUMNI HOMECOMING and Presentation of the GOLDEN JUBILEE YEARBOOK on February 14-15, 2009.

On October 27-28, 2007, representative Alumni/Resident Brods/Sis will be meeting to prepare the Draft Strategic Plan for the next 50 Years. Sharestock subscription to the Foundation is expected to reach the P1 Million mark by December 2007. The Golden Jubilee Yearbook is being prepared by a Core Group in USA, Australia & Phlippines and solicitations for sponsors, patrons and advertisements are underway. The Golden Jubilee Steering Committee is meeting monthly to plan and coordinate the preparatory and homecoming activities.

The Grand Alumni Homecoming will be held at the Meralco Management Leadership Development Center (MMLDC) in Antipolo City, easily accessible through Marcos-Sumulong highways or Ortigas Avenue Extension and with good hotel and dormitory accommodations for alumni and resident brods and sis. Valentine’s Day 2009 will be the arrival and registration of VKVVLV “homecomers” marked by free-structured reunions, meetings, bondings, etc at the VKVVLV Village where the 17 resident chapters will have their exhibit booths. The Grand Homecoming Ball will start with an early dinner and followed by the Golden Jubilee Program. Sunday, February 15 will be the VKVVLV Olympics – it will start early with a Walkathon, followed by a healthy Filipino breakfast. We will then divide ourselves into two teams and compete in team sports like tug-of-war, basketball, volleyball, etc.

So you must prepare to participate in the Golden Jubilee celebrations especially the Grand Alumni Homecoming. We shall re-live mostly all our happy days and moments together and not so much of our setbacks. More importantly, we shall renew our fraternal bonds to always strive for “the greater glory of VKVVLV”.

See you all at the Golden Jubilee Celebrations:

Jose Q. Molina, DVM, MVS
